What We Believe

New Life Worship Center is a Bible-based, Apostolic church affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International. Our beliefs are founded upon the Word of God. View the UPCI’s official beliefs ( https://upci.org/our-beliefs/ ).

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for salvation, Christian living and every area of our faith.

II Timothy 3:15–17; II Peter 1:20–21

One God

We believe there is one eternal God who has revealed Himself as Father in creation, through His Son in redemption and as the Holy Spirit working in the lives of believers. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh—fully God and fully man.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1–14; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16

Sin and Salvation

We believe everyone has sinned and is in need of salvation. Salvation is made possible by God’s grace through faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:23–25; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; I Corinthians 15:1–4

The New Birth

We believe the biblical response to the Gospel includes repentance from sin, water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.

John 3:3–5; Acts 2:4, 37–39; Acts 10:44–48; Acts 19:1–6; Romans 6:3–4

Christian Living

We believe Christians are called to love God and one another, live holy lives inwardly and outwardly, demonstrate compassion and worship God with their whole lives.

Mark 12:28–31; Romans 12:1–2; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ and that every believer has a place, a purpose and a responsibility to serve. We are called to share the Gospel, make disciples, care for people and demonstrate the love of Jesus throughout our community and the world.

Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:11–16

The Power Of The Holy Spirit

We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit—including healing, miracles and spiritual gifts—are available and active in the Church today.

Mark 16:17–18; I Corinthians 12:4–11; James 5:14–16

The Return Of Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is coming again for His Church. We believe in the resurrection, final judgment and the promise of eternal life for those who belong to Him.

I Thessalonians 4:16–17; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–4
